Where to get the best indie clothes
The best places to shop for indie clothes:

- Unif. they are pretty expensive, but their clothing is super cute and unique if you can afford it! They have a bit of a darker theme, though, so I would suggest not getting things only from there so that you can add a bit more color. There is a reason indie girls love the “color customizer” filter on tiktok: they love colorful things.

- AliExpress. AliExpress provides clothing to many larger stores. Their stuff is pretty cheap but overall good quality and adorable designs. Just search “y2k” to get the best stuff! However, most items from their ship from China and can take a while, depending on the seller (AliExpress is a third party seller, like Amazon) Another cool thing is you can actually search for clothes using images! I love using this feature by putting in outfits from my Pinterest to recreate them!

- Omighty. Omighty is also pretty expensive, but not too bad. Their stuff is very unique and cute! I also love their unique website layout. However, many items from there look similar to the cheaper ones I see on AliExpress (listed above)

- Brandy Melville. Although Brandy Melville is thought of as “basic”, they defiantly have some cute designs that look like thrifted pieces. You could probably find the stuff there in thrift stores for cheaper, but their prices aren’t too bad and they have a lot of items. However, they are only one size and many people don’t like the company itself, because they are racist.

Shein: Shein is definitely fast fashion, which not many people like, but is certainly the cheapest option on this list. They have some cute designs, although I would argue not as many as AliExpress (listed above). They are also from China, so they take a while. They also have many Brandy Melville dupes!

Amazon: Amazon is surprisingly a great place to get clothes! Although some of their stuff is more hidden and you have to scroll for a while to get cute stuff, simply searching up “y2k” also gets you cute items. The only problem I see on Amazon is that they have the same stuff on AliExpress, but almost twice the price. However, if you want your clothes really fast, Amazon is the way to go!
Urban Outfitters: Urban outfitters has lots of cute clothing and has been a staple to many for a long time. They have great quality clothes, and a wide variety of styles. When shopping there, one thing I believe is a really great thing to get there is their jeans. BDG, one of the main jean brands sold at UO, has many very cute Y2k, skater jeans. They are baggy and cute.

- THRIFTING! Thrifting is a must! They have some of the best stuff for very cheap prices! Some great thrifting places are Goodwill store/bins and Depop if you want to shop online. One thing to know about Depop, though, is that sellers on depop often buy items from thrift stores such as goodwill from $1-$2, and sell them for $30, calling the items “rare” when they aren’t. Just make sure you aren’t being scammed
